W.E. Chapps, Inc. has developed an innovative, patented style of Chainsaw Gear^TM that have more protection and better adjustments for a more comfortable fit. New ways to protect the legs, arms, chest, groin and feet for all chain saw users. These chapps meet the requirements of the American Pulpwood Association Standard, APA92-A-12 and are UL Approved for Class-A Chaps with chain speed protection of 2500 feet per second.

All the protective material used in W.E. Chainsaw Gear^TM is made from a proven combination of 2 layers of woven Kevlar and 2 layers of needle punch Kevlar felt. This combination of the materials fibers are designed to wrap around the sprocket, jamming the spinning chain and stopping the chain saw from cutting.

The tough 1000D Cordura nylon outer shell is waterproof and resists abrasions, tears, snags, mildew and oil stains. The inside  liner is made of 100% breathable cotton giving the user a comfortable barrier for a cooler feeling when wearing these chapps.

W.E. Chainsaw Chapps^TM are offered in two lengths measured from the waist to the bottom of the chapp - 36" and 45".

Both chapps have our patented height adjustment system that allows them to fit different leg lengths. With the "One Size Fits All" ability of all W.E. Chainsaw Chapps^TM, you no longer have to buy a different chain saw chap for each member of your crew. This one advantage alone over conventional chain saw chaps will  provide huge savings, especially to companies that work in states that have mandatory chain saw protection laws.

All W.E. Chainsaw Chapps^TM have complete leg protection from side to side. The 36" W.E. Chainsaw Chapps^TM has 28" of Kevlar protection and the 45" W.E. Chainsaw  Chapps^TM has 34" of Kevlar protection measuring from the bottom of the chapp up the leg.

Another major advantage of the patented height adjustment system is that when the chapp is too long, the extra length of chapp  at the bottom turns back under itself to get the correct leg length. This folding back under doubles the Kevlar protection around the foot, ankle and lower leg, giving valuable protection to an area that no other  chain saw chap offers. This feature gives the foot and ankle area the same high quality chain saw protection as the leg. Nylon straps with plastic buckles or four elastic leg straps with Hook and Loop Fasteners fasteners secures the  chapp to each leg for smooth, trouble free walking.

This new ergonomic fastening system of Hook and Loop Fasteners and elastic straps gives with your every move, reducing the cutting and digging  that a nylon strap and plastic buckle can cause. The Hook and Loop Fasteners fasteners provide easy on and easy off capabilities with a secure and  comfortable fit every time.

All of the W.E.Chainsaw Chapps^TM fit waist sizes from 26" to 54". Featuring a large front mesh pocket with Hook and Loop Fasteners closure; elastic webbing added to the belt for extra give whenever bending or turning; a special belt loop to hold the excess length of the belt.

All styles of W.E.Chainsaw Chapps^TM are available with cup protection. This is a high impact plastic cup (like atheletes wear) with a durable nylon inside pocket that combine to provide excellent protection for the groin area.
